For those with a permit to carry a concealed handgun, this course will give you complete confidence in your ability to carry, draw, and employ all of your personal weapons and tools that you carry or have access to on a daily basis.
In this courses, you will learn tactics and techniques to respond or neutralize threats at contact distance using your empty-hands, knife, handgun, or a combination.
Your personal protection system is completed with life-savings skills in handgun disarming, handgun retention, and close-quarters striking with the handgun.
This system has been trained, executed, and proven in combat and survival by military operators, law enforcement officers, and citizens across the free world.
THE TAKEAWAY:
Completion of this course will enable you to:
1. Identify the best methods, tactics, and techniques for the selection, carry and use of the knife for personal protection.
2. Learn and train ONE complete system of striking with edged weapons and impact weapons, as well as empty hands - all with the same striking mechanics
3. Engage single or multiple threats/adversaries using an integrated fighting system of tactics and techniques.

GEAR REQUIREMENTS
- Semi-automatic handgun with sturdy tactical holster
- 2 Magazines (minimum) that with magazine holster
- 200 rounds FMJ ammunition
- Concealed fixed blade or tactical folding knife
- Rubber training knife (click here for recommendation)
- Eye protection
- Hearing protection
- Hydration

- Blue gun, SIRT, or other trainer
- Tactical flashlight
- MMA gloves, lacrosse, or other hand protection

INSTRUCTOR:
Mark Booher, is the founder of Barritus Defense, a security training and consulting company that has served organizations within Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and Fortune 500.
Mark is a veteran of the United States Army where he conducted force protection operations as a member of NATO's Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. He has deployed or trained with with every branch of US Military as well as multi-national forces.
Mark is also Certified Executive Protection Specialist and has trained in counter-terrorism and security methods with members of the Israeli Defense Force in the West Bank.
Following his military service, Mark studied law at the University of Arkansas and spent 6 years as a deputy prosecuting attorney. During his time, he prosecuted hundreds of cases involving violent crimes.
Mark has trained hundreds of members of the military, law enforcement and private sector on intelligence and security operations and is a contributor to The Counter Terrorist Magazine.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must to be 18 or older to participate in our events.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not need to bring you ticket to the event. We will have a roster of all attendees taken from the registration site.
What is the refund policy?
We do not offer refunds due to inclement weather, floods, earthquakes and other Acts of God which we cannot control, but you will receive full credit to use for one of our subsequent events. We understand that things happen at the last minute, so if you have a legitmite issue, just let us know and we will credit your registration to the next event.
What kind of gun should I use?
Any semi-automatic hand gun will work. Pistols with magazines that carry at least a 10 round capacity is recommended, but not required.
Do I need a concealed carry permit to take this class?
No, as long as you can lawfully possess and train with a firearm, you are free to attend this course.
