Introduction to Low Light Pistol
Criminals are most active at night. That means, if you are forced to defend yourself with your firearm, chances are high that you will have to do it in a darken environment.
If you haven't trained in low-light conditions, then you're not fully prepared to defend yourself. Period.
At Barritus Defense, we understand that training low-light conditions can be intimidating and confusing. That's why we developed our Introduction to Low Light Pistol course to help you learn these life-saving skills in a safe, effective, and fun environment.
In this 3 hour introductory course, you learn the skills necessary to fight and prevail with your firearm in a defensive force encounter during low light conditions.
We cover everything from your selecting your tactical light, to how to operate in low light conditions without getting shot.
Utilizing lecture, dry fire, and live fire drills, we will cover such topics as:
- Sights and light selection
- Operating in dark conditions
- Carry methods and illumination techniques
- Reloading and clearing malfunctions
- Searching techniques
- And more

Gear Requirements
- Semi automatic pistol with 2 magazines
- OWB holster (no Serpa or nylon)
- 100 rounds of brass FMJ ammunition (contact us if you have questions)
- Hand held tactical flashlight (even if you have a mounted light)
- Wrap around eye protection
- Hearing protection
- Hydration
- Weapon mounted light (optional)

Instructor: Mark is the owner and chief instructor of Barritus, a security training and consulting company. Mark is a veteran with 10 years of service in the US Army in both the active duty and guard components. His duties include team leader and squad leader in an infantry platoon; infantry instructor; and intelligence NCO. Mark has trained units from the DOD, DOJ, personnel from the Fortune 500, and law enforcement officers from over 60 police departments from around the country. Mark is passionate about equipping people with the knowledge and skills they need to better protect themselves and their families.

This is an introductory course designed for anyone familiar with basic fundamentals of marksmanship, reloading procedures, and firearms safety. If that's you, you will do fine at this course.
